The Eel & The Blowfish
A Graphic Novel of Dreams, Trauma and Healing
How do we speak about the unspeakable? How do you face the darkest thing to happen to you?
For those who experience incomprehensible anxiety and numbness and rage, The Eel and the Blowfish shows a path to freedom from trauma. For even the deepest wounds, no one is beyond repair.
From two psychologists with more than 70 years of clinical experience between them, this graphic novel offers tools and guidance to those suffering from trauma, and hope to both psychotherapists and their patients.
Dreamwork, fantasy and psychotherapy enrich the relationships between therapist and patient, and brother and sister. This isn’t your typical book on healing—science-backed methods, psychedelic visuals, and zany characters launch readers from start to finish.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Psychoanalytic Society of the New York University Postdoctoral Program for generously supporting this project with a Scholar's Grant.
